Leicester City beat off competition from a number of Premiership clubs to complete the signing of young striker Ricky Sappleton in June 2007.
The former Queen's Park Rangers player, who has had trials at Middlesbrough and Liverpool, chose to join the Foxes over a host of top flight clubs.
He made a number of starts for both the reserves and under 18s during the 2007-08 season and bagged his first senior goal during a loan spell at Bournemouth at the start of the 2008-2009 campaign.
