Leicester City completed the signing of free agent Marc Edworthy on Friday, November 7.
The 35-year-old signed a contract with the club that will keep him at the Walkers Stadium until January 6, 2009.
Edworthy is a versatile defender who has turned out for Plymouth Argyle, Crystal Palace, Coventry City, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Norwich City and Derby County during his 17-year professional career to date.
City boss Nigel Pearson said: "We are delighted to welcome Marc on board. He has been training with us for the last month and his attitude has been excellent.
"He is a player who has been there and done it and he will be a good addition to the squad."
Edworthy made 11 appearances for the Rams during the 2007/08 season, including nine in the Premier League, and joins Matt Oakley, Chris Powell and Steve Howard as ex-Derby players in the Leicester squad.
The player made his Foxes debut on Saturday, November 8 in the FA Cup First Round tie against Stevenage Borough.
