City's No.11 has also represented the Club in the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Europa Conference League, making over 280 appearances for the Foxes in that time.
Albrighton made his debut and scored his first Foxes goal against the same club, Chelsea, with his City bow coming against the Londoners in August, before he netted in the reverse fixture in April. The lively wideman then hammered in an unstoppable strike against Queens Park Rangers on the final day of the season, the final of 20 appearances in all competitions during 2014/15.
His performances throughout April and May played a huge part in Leicester’s surge to survival. Marc would go on to play an instrumental role in City’s 2015/16 title triumph, featuring in every Premier League game and scoring twice in the process.
During City’s debut UEFA Champions League campaign, the winger became the first player in the Club’s history to score in the prestigious competition, netting in the 3-0 victory at Club Brugge.
One of Albrighton's most productive season in City colours followed in 2017/18, when he registered seven assists and scored twice for the Foxes.
He was the joint-third-highest English assist-maker in the Premier League that term. The Birmingham-born winger netted three goals during 2018/19, including the equaliser in a 2-1 win over Manchester City, as well as scoring in the preceding reverse fixture.
Albrighton was once again a regular in Brendan Rodgers’ side for the 2019/20 campaign, featuring in the historic 9-0 away victory at Southampton on 25 October 2019 and coming on as a substitute during the 5-0 defeat of Newcastle United at King Power Stadium a month earlier.
In 2020/21, meanwhile, Albrighton was a useful figure for the Foxes, making 42 outings in all competitions, including in the UEFA Europa League, as well as a substitute appearance in the final of the Emirates FA Cup, where he added another major honour to his Leicester City collection.
Later that summer, meanwhile, he also added the FA Community Shield to his growing collection of trophies at the Club. In 2021/22, he starred for the Foxes, scoring a stunner against Rennes in the last-16, as Leicester progressed to the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa Conference League.
At the start of the 2022/23 campaign, on the other hand, Albrighton became City's vice-captain after Jonny Evans was named as the Club captain. In January 2023, Albrighton joined West Bromwich Albion on loan until the end of the season.
He had previously spent 16 years with Aston Villa, progressing through their academy ranks and bursting onto the scene in 2009 when he made his debut for the West Midlands club in a UEFA Cup tie against CSKA Moscow.
He appeared a further 100 times for the club, with 86 of them in the Premier League, as well as seven goals - the first coming in a 2-1 defeat against Spurs at White Hart Lane in October 2010.
The 2013/14 season saw the highly-rated Albrighton enjoy a four-game spell on loan with Championship side Wigan Athletic between October and November, before returning to Villa Park and playing his way back into the side for the remainder of the campaign. On the international stage, as a youngster, Albrighton also featured twice for England's Under-20s and eight times for the Under-21s.
