Leicester City’s Academy players are given an insight into life in the First Team immediately, as they are fortunate enough to be able to utilise the same facility as the First Team Squad
Significant investment has been made to maintain and improve the quality of facilities on offer at the Club’s training complex in recent years to supplement the work of all areas of the Football Club, from Academy through to the First Team.
The investment emphasises the commitment of the Club to providing the best possible foundations for the players and also for the coaches to be able to provide first class training programmes.
The LCFC training complex, situated about a mile from King Power Stadium, includes a gym, fitness suite, changing rooms, indoor area and training pitches.
A number of improvements continue to be made in accordance with the Elite Player Performance Plan, which has developed criteria for the training and education of young players.
Some of the improvements made in recent years include:
• Self-contained, outdoor, state-of-the-art floodlit 3G playing surface to full-size pitch specifications
• Age-specific pitches
• 11 newly-built dressing rooms
• Classroom facilities
• Analysis suites
• Sports Science facilities
• Show pitch with designated spectator areas
• Parents’ Lounge
The LCFC training complex also boasts an indoor facility that is unrivalled throughout Leicestershire.
Providing an all-weather training solution to players of all ages, the 80x56m 3G surface measures three-quarters of the size of a full-size football pitch
