The Red Devils visit King Power Stadium on Sunday (2:05pm GMT kick-off) having not lost a game under new manager and former player Ole Gunnar Solskjær.
Belgium international midfielder Tielemans joined the Club on loan from AS Monaco on Thursday, having already played 35 times for club and county this season, and Puel will make a call on his involvement in a day prior to the fixture.
“We will see,” said the manager of Tielemans. “It was his first training session this morning (Friday).
“It was a good training session with hard work and tempo. I will see tomorrow if he can participate in the squad for the game.”
Tielemans: My Experiences Will Help Me With This New Challenge
New signing Youri Tielemans will call on his experiences as a professional footballer to date during his loan spell in the Premier League at Leicester City.
The Frenchman believes Tielemans will add balance to his side, with Portugal international Adrien Silva also departing for AS Monaco on loan.
“It was possible for this move with Adrien and Youri,” said the manager. “I said before, in a different press conference, it was important to keep a good balance in the team.
“We know it was difficult for Adrien to keep a good focus without game time. It was important to have another option for us for the squad.
“I think Youri can give us a possibility to play with two or three midfielders. It will be good for the squad.”
He’s an intelligent player and it will be interesting for us and for him. I am confident about him until the end of the season.Claude Puel
A rising star in European football, Tielemans had already caught the eye of Puel during his time at boyhood outfit Anderlecht.
Puel added: “I know him before he started with Anderlecht. He was a young player but he gave his best in different situations. He scored a lot of goals as a midfielder.
“I hope he can give us this opportunity to bring something different in some games. He’s a young player with a lot of maturity.
“He’s an intelligent player and it will be interesting for us and for him. I am confident about him until the end of the season.”
