LCFC Community Trust Team Up With Leicester Riders Foundation

LCFC Community Trust are extremely pleased to announce that they have formed an exciting new partnership with The Leicester Riders Foundation to offer 16 to 18-year-olds the opportunity to gain a BTEC Sports Diploma.

The programme will combine classroom-based education alongside daily Futsal and/or Basketball training.

The course will span over two years and is full-time, which will include the BTEC programme of study; class and individual tutorials, work experience/employability, NGB coaching badges, maths and English resit (if students do not pass these at school) and practical training/competition in basketball and futsal.

Benefits of enrolling onto our BTEC Diploma include; access to driving lessons (if you are over 17 years-old), practical coaching sessions (delivered by pro basketballers/LRF coaching staff and LCFC coaching staff) and access to the Riders’ state-of-the-art gym facility.

The end qualification is a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport (Performance & Excellence) (3 A Level Equivalent).

The course is due to start from September 2019 and you need a minimum of four GCSEs Level 4 to Level 9 (Level 4 or above in maths & English is desirable).

There are three open days, should you wish to find out more information and see if this is the opportunity for you:

Thursday 25 April at 11am
Friday 31 May at 11am
Thursday 11 July at 11am

All of the open days take place at the Morningside Arena, LE1 3UD.
