Chilwell, alongside his Foxes team-mates, met the Northern Irishman in the home dressing room at King Power Stadium, following Tuesday evening’s 2-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion.

Exuding positivity after a first victory in eight games in all competitions, Chilwell explained that City already have a good grasp of Rodgers’ methods, and what he will demand from the Club’s players.

“Obviously, it was a good atmosphere,” said Chilwell when discussing Tuesday’s triumph. “We’d just got a win, a much-needed win, and it was a tough game, but to get wins in that way is obviously good for the team.

“After the game he came into the changing room and introduced himself and gave us a quick short debrief of what he expects from us and what we can expect from him and the reasons that he decided to join the Club and what his ambitions are here.

Chilwell: Let's Build Momentum

Leicester City and England defender Ben Chilwell hopes the Foxes can build on Tuesday's win against Brighton with another positive result at Watford on Sunday.

“We had a meeting yesterday when we came in, a half-an-hour meeting on what he expects from us and what we can expect from him and the style of play.

“The main thing that came out of it was the fact he wants us to press, he wants us to be very aggressive, when we don’t have the ball to try and win it back quickly and be difficult to play against.

“He wants us to play a good style of football, attacking with lots of goals, but to be solid at the back as well.”

Chilwell feels beating Brighton at King Power Stadium will set the tone for Rodgers’ managerial reign in Leicester, with Watford up next on Sunday (12pm GMT kick-off).

“We were under no disillusions how big the game was and how important it was, especially after the Palace game,” continued the England international defender.

Getting a win leading on to the weekend is good for us and hopefully we can get a few wins on the bounce and start to build momentum.

“Two home losses on the bounce wouldn’t have been good for the Club, so we knew we needed to win the match and in those sorts of situations, we always seem to do well when we’re under a bit of pressure.

Having taken part in two of Rodgers’ training sessions at Belvoir Drive, Chilwell spoke highly of his decision to join the Football Club after a trophy-laden spell at Celtic.

“You look at his CV and the clubs he has been at, some of the biggest clubs in the world, and for him to join here is a massive compliment to the Club that he wanted to join when he could have stayed in Scotland and won trophies,” said Chilwell.

“That is a massive compliment to the Club and like I said, Mike Stowell, everyone was in awe when he came into the changing room, you kind of look and take everything he’s saying on board.”
