Make King Power Stadium A Fortress, Says Maddison

As the Foxes continue to refine their approach under new manager Brendan Rodgers, Maddison has called upon his team-mates to embark on a prolonged stretch of positive home form.

“I think the more we work together, the more you will see Rodgers’ style implemented because it can’t just happen overnight and in football we know that,” he said at City's Belvoir Drive training ground.

“There were positives from the Watford game and we had a debrief with the manager so we went through the things that we need to do better in.

“We also looked at what we did well and it is definitely positive signs. The more time we spend together on the training pitch, the more it will come into practice in games.

“We did well against Brighton as well and obviously we won the game.

“Our home form hasn’t been the greatest but hopefully we can kick on now and make King Power Stadium a bit of a fortress towards the end of the season.”

Maddison, 22, also revealed that Rodgers has taken the time to discuss his performances in an attempt to help the former Norwich City man finesse his game even further.

“We have had a few good chats about stuff what we need to get better at individually,” he added.

“It is always good to get feedback as a player because you always want to keep improving as a player. I know it is a cliché to say but you do.

“You want your manager to point the finger at you if you are not doing what he wants and it is always nice to get praise when you are doing well.

“So it is always good to have that relationship.”
