Vardy has scored five times in as many outings for City, while his second effort in a 3-1 success over Fulham at King Power Stadium represented a century of goals in the Club’s colours.

Now a member of an elite club of players to have reached that total, of which there are just six others, Vardy continues to reach prestigious landmarks on Filbert Way.

Speaking following his latest personal achievement, City's No.9 said: “It’s great but the main thing was getting the three points today.

Vardy: There's Many More To Come

Leicester City centurion Jamie Vardy speaks after scoring his 100th competitive goal for the Foxes in their 3-1 victory over Fulham.

“We had a proper full week of the new manager’s training and I think that showed with what we put in out there.

“He wants it at a high-tempo with a quick press, trying to win the ball back as quick as possible, and if you win it high up you’re going to get lots of chances.”

Vardy says Brendan Rodgers’ methods are paying off for the Foxes and is excited to see where the Northern Irishman can take the Club in future.

“It has definitely benefited me but we all know there is a lot more hard work to come and that starts when we get back on the training field and we’re looking forward to next week.

“We knew Fulham were going to cause us problems, but, like I said, it’s new to us, what we have been working on. I think for the majority of the game, we got the game plan spot on to a T.

“But we knew Fulham were going to have bits of possession and, like I say, they got a goal back, but we went on and nicked it at the end.”
