After the Foxes’ back-to-back victories over Fulham and Burnley – the latter coming courtesy of a last-minute winner from Morgan – Brendan Rodgers’ men return to action following the final international break of the season.

A fine display against Fulham on Filbert Way returned three points during Rodgers’ first home game in charge, before Morgan’s header secured a memorable triumph at Turf Moor, despite City playing 86 minutes with 10 men.

Next up for the Foxes is a clash with the Cherries, who last time out were held to a 2-2 draw at Vitality Stadium by Newcastle United, despite taking the lead with only nine minutes to play on the south coast.

“Bournemouth away is always a tough, tough game,” Morgan said ahead of the game. “It wasn’t the best game earlier this season, especially for me. I got sent off in that game, so I expect this game to be much, much different.

“We’re off the back of a couple of good results and the boys are building in their confidence, I would say. We’ve been working hard this week on how we’ll go about our jobs against Bournemouth, so we just want to implement it and get the right result.”

Morgan, who signed a new City deal earlier this month, discussed the vision that manager Rodgers has shared with the Club’s stars.

Obviously next season will be a big season for us, and I’m sure once he (Brendan Rodgers) imprints his ideas on us, we’ll reach those heights.

Discussing Rodgers’ impact to date, Morgan added: “I think all the boys can definitely see his vision and plan, where he wants us to go and where he expects us to be.

“He sees real potential in our team and our players, and he knows we are more than capable of reaching bigger things and getting to a better position than we actually are.

“Obviously next season will be a big season for us, and I’m sure once he imprints his ideas on us, we’ll reach those heights.

“He’s got a real focus, a real vision on how he wants us to perform and play and he’s looked at the players we’ve got in the dressing room and thinks his style will definitely suit our players. I think it will take time, but we’ll get there and will be a force to be reckoned with.”
