West Ham Defeat For City's Under-18s

Leicester City's Under-18s side suffered a 4-1 defeat by West Ham United at Little Heath Sports Centre on Saturday.

Emmanuel Longelo opened the scoring early on for the Hammers in London, but a Luke Thomas equaliser gave the young Foxes hope in the 24th minute.

However, that optimism didn't last long as Bernardo Costa Da Rosa regained the lead for West Ham before the half-time interval.

While City's youngsters battled to try and earn a point in the U18 Premier League South division, a goal from Veron Parkes and another from Longelo confirmed defeat.

Following this result, Leicester drop down to ninth in the 12-team division, on 23 points after 19 matches, with seven victories and two draws to their name.

Next Saturday, meanwhile, Southampton are City's visitors to Belvoir Drive in the first of three remaining fixtures of the 2018/19 season (12pm BST kick-off).
