City Finish Seventh In FA Women’s Championship

Following Sunday’s 4-0 reverse at Charlton Athletic, Leicester City Women ended the 2018/19 FA Women’s Championship campaign in seventh position.

Their last outing saw them recover from a goal down to register a 1-1 draw with Durham courtesy of an 82nd-minute strike from Melissa Johnson.

However, Sunday’s hosts got off to a flying start when Kit Graham scored inside the first minute, before she added a second a few minutes after the interval.

Elizabeta Ejupi made it 3-0 on 64 minutes and while the hosts were reduced to 10 women, Graham bagged her hat-trick late on to secure all three points.

City’s Women end the season in seventh, having accumulated 21 points from 20 Championship fixtures.
