Following his strike against Manchester United on the opening day of the campaign, Vardy went on to score 18 top-flight goals for the Foxes, including crucial winners at Chelsea and Everton and braces against Fulham, Huddersfield Town and Arsenal.
The former Fleetwood Town frontman won the Premier League's Player of the Month award for April after registering five strikes and scoring in all but one of his four appearances.
Following a look at Kasper Schmeichel, Ricardo Pereira, Wilfred Ndidi and James Maddison’s 2018/19 seasons, LCFC.com next analyses how Vardy fared in England’s highest tier.

Vardy’s 18 Premier League strikes during 2018/19 saw him finish fifth in the goalscoring rankings behind Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (22), Liverpool attackers Sadio Mané and Mohamed Salah (both 22) and Manchester City frontman Sergio Agüero (21).
No Englishman netted more goals than the 32-year-old, with Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane the closest to Vardy with 17 strikes to his name.
Just over 60 per cent of his goals came on his right foot (11), while he scored on four occasions in as many games with his left foot and three headed goals.
Averaging 0.53 goals per game, Vardy was one of the most lethal strikers in the Premier League last term.

The Sheffield-born striker is by far and away Leicester City’s most prolific Premier League goalscorer, having netted 80 times in 176 appearances since his debut in 2014.
Former winger Riyad Mahrez is next on the list with 39 goals, while Academy graduate Emile Heskey and club legend Muzzy Izzet both scored 33 times for the Foxes.
With a goal to game ratio of 45 per cent, 53 of his goals have come on his right foot, 18 with his left foot and nine via headers.
He has reached double figures in all but one of his five seasons as a Fox, and while he only registered five goals in 2014/15, he bagged some vital strikes against Manchester United, West Bromwich Albon and Burnley.
A natural winner
The No.9's celebration matched his goal, as he struck the winner at Goodison Park on New Year's Day.
Premier League wins: 68

In 176 Premier League appearances, Vardy has been on the winning side for the Foxes on 68 occasions (joint with Muzzy Izzet), with his first triumph in Leicester colours coming versus Stoke City in September 2014, when Leonardo Ulloa struck the only goal of the game in Staffordshire.
He has delivered some outstanding performances over the past five years, playing a major role in the 5-3 demolition of Manchester United in 2014, scoring in 11 consecutive games en route to the title and bagging a hat-trick against Manchester City in 2016/17.
Further highlights in 2017/18 included goals against Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and Manchester United, while in 2018/19, he will no doubt remember his 100th goal for the Football Club.
Only Izzet (222) and Matt Elliott (199) have made more Premier League appearances than Vardy, emphasising his status as one of the most important players to ever play for the Foxes.
