The Foxes have engaged in a structured training camp in France as Brendan Rodgers and his backroom team get the first team squad back up to speed following a five-week break.

Justin - the first of three summer signings, including Ayoze Pérez and Youri Tielemans - has found the experience to be invaluable as he continues to settle in with his new team-mates.

Speaking to LCFC TV between training drills, the 21-year-old said: "It’s been a really productive week for me and all the other lads. We’ve got our hard work in since we’ve been here.

Justin: We're Building Our Team Value

New signing James Justin speaks to LCFC TV about how the trip to Évian has helped him settle in at Leicester City. Use 'CC' to access subtitles.

"On Monday, it was double and Tuesday was double, and yesterday we had an 11 vs. 11 on a full-size [pitch], which was our first [here].

"It’s been really good to get the minutes into our legs and recovery today, although we did do a bit of gym work. It’s good going into the rest of the week.

"It's key for team spirit too. We’ve been doing lots of work out here on building our team value and trying to create a team motto together.

We’re trying to get our winning mentality going and it doesn’t matter whether it’s a friendly, we want to win every match.

"I feel like going away on pre-season trips like this, it only helps build the team spirit."

Justin, who joined from Luton Town last month, has also enjoyed the experience of learning from Rodgers since arriving at the Club.

Once the squad returns to England this weekend, meanwhile, their focus will switch to the first of six scheduled pre-season friendlies against Scunthorpe United on Tuesday (7:30pm BST kick-off).

The Foxes return to Leicester over the weekend.

"Everyone knows he’s a top coach and I’m just trying to pick up key pointers that he keeps on relaying to me and the other boys, and stick with it in my head," he added.

"I just want to perform on the pitch and hopefully show him what I can do. We’re trying to get our winning mentality going and it doesn’t matter whether it’s a friendly, we want to win every match.

"I know the lads are really looking forward to getting their first proper minutes under their belts."
