Joined by a gathering of helpers and supporters, Filbert left King Power Stadium at 6:30am BST on Sunday morning, later arriving in Skegness by around 7:30pm BST in the evening.

The cycle followed on from the Ride Leicester Festival last month, with Filbert having taken part in the event’s 6.5 km family bike ride through the streets of the city centre for the past four years.

Filbert's latest fundraising exploits were all in honour of the VS Foundation, renamed in November 2018 in honour of the Club’s late Chairman, Khun Vichai, who tragically lost his life in a helicopter accident.

This is a fantastic fundraiser, organised and planned by Filbert himself, so please, if you can, dig deep and lend your support to the Boss' Foundation!

Upon his arrival in Skegness, Filbert was greeted by the Mayor, as well as Jolly Fisherman, the mascot of the town, and over 50 Foxes fans who had come out to cheer him over the finish line.

Speaking to LCFC.com, Club Ambassador Alan 'The Birch' Birchenall', who himself raises thousands of pounds every year in the End of Season Run, praised the efforts of Filbert and his entourage.

"What a brilliant effort from Filbert Fox and all his helpers, raising money for an incredible cause!" the Birch said earlier today, as Filbert left Leicester, headed for the popular seaside town in Lincolnshire. "Throughout my entire time at the Football Club, the amazing generosity of the Blue Army has always blown me away.

"This is a fantastic fundraiser, organised and planned by Filbert himself, so please, if you can, dig deep and lend your support to the Boss' Foundation! Every penny always makes a difference and will help us change lives for the better across Leicestershire."
