Golf Course Manager (Head Greenkeeper)

Leicester City Football Club are seeking an outstanding individual to manage the re-instalment and upkeep of the Football Club's 9-hole golf course and its surrounding areas at its new word class training ground facility.

Background to the Club

Leicester City Football Club, also known as the Foxes, is a top-flight English football club in their sixth consecutive season in the Premier League. In 2015/16, ranked as 5000-1 outsiders, Leicester City were crowned Premier League champions. 

In 2010, the Club was bought by Asian Football Investments, a Thai-led consortium fronted by King Power’s founder and Chairman, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha. The stadium was named King Power Stadium in 2011 and one year later in 2012, King Power International became sole owners of the Club.

Leicester City Football Club is an ambitious and forward-thinking club. It is deeply committed to the local community and its supporters and continually strives to ensure that every point of engagement with fans is truly world-class including the experience on matchdays.

About The Role 

Leicester City Football Club are seeking an outstanding individual to manage the re-instalment and upkeep of the Football Club's 9-hole golf course and its surrounding areas at its new word class training ground facility.

The main duties of this role will include the production and implementation of a working maintenance program which consists of mowing regimes, fertilizer applications and the use of bio stimulants and growth regulators. 

Who We’re Looking For

As the Golf Course Manager you will have experience in a similar managerial role and will possess the required qualifications of an NVQ level 3 in Sports Turf Management / Greenkeeping as well as PA1 and PA6 in spraying. You will possess high levels of enthusiasm and a good knowledge or plants, shrubs, trees and planting schemes. 

Hours – 37.5
