Following his debut for Amiens in a 2-2 draw with Lyon last weekend, winger Fousseni Diabaté starred for 67 minutes in a 2-1 win for the French Ligue 1 side at Metz on Saturday.

Goals from Serhou Guirassy and Bakate Dibassy sealed victory for Les Licornes at Stade Saint-Symphorien, taking Luka Elsner’s men up to 14th in French football’s top tier.

Diabaté, 23, is due to spend the remainder of 2019/20 with Amiens and could make his third successive start for the club at home against Bordeaux on Wednesday (6pm BST kick-off).

Also in France, Portugal midfielder Adrien Silva played for 85 minutes as AS Monaco drew 0-0 at Stade Reims, leaving the eight-time champions 19th in Ligue 1.

While striker Islam Slimani did not feature through injury, Silva was an important midfield anchor for Les Monégasques before eventually being replaced by Cesc Fàbregas in Reims.

On Tuesday, Silva could make his fifth appearance for Monaco when they entertain OGC Nice, currently third in the table, at Stade Louis II (8pm BST kick-off).

Elsewhere, midfielder Kamal Sowah completed another 90-minute outing for Oud-Heverlee Leuven in a 1-0 win over Lommel SK at King Power at Den Dreef Stadium on Sunday.

Striker Jérémy Perbet, on loan from Charleroi, netted in the 82nd minute for Leuven to seal a fifth win in seven matches, which keeps Vincent Euvrard’s side top of the Belgium Proximus League.

Before resuming their bid to secure promotion to the Jupiler League, OHL next travel to Sint-Truiden in the Croky Cup’s Round of 16 stage on Wednesday (7:30pm BST kick-off).

In the Sky Bet Football League, meanwhile, goalkeeper Daniel Iversen, who saved a penalty in a 1-1 draw at Sunderland last week, starred for 90 minutes in Rotherham United’s latest outing.

The Millers were held to a 0-0 stalemate at New York Stadium by Shrewsbury Town on Saturday, leaving Paul Warne’s men sat 13th in League 1, four points adrift of the top six. They next tackle Bristol Rovers at Memorial Stadium on Saturday afternoon (3pm BST kick-off).

Defender Josh Knight, on the other hand, made his 10th appearance for Peterborough United, although the Posh were beaten 2-0 by Doncaster Rovers at Keepmoat Stadium.

The Cambridgeshire-based club are currently ninth in League 1, two points behind sixth-placed Blackpool, and next host AFC Wimbledon on Saturday (3pm BST kick-off).

Andy King

Midfielder Andy King was a late substitute for Rangers last week.

In League 2, defender Sam Hughes followed his full debut for Salford City last week, in a 1-0 home success over Grimsby Town, with another 90-minute run-out on Saturday afternoon.

Graham Alexander’s men were defeated 4-1 at Gresty Road by Crewe Alexandra, knocking Salford down to 17th in the League 2 table with 11 points from 10 matches so far.

They will be looking to make amends for that setback when they are hosts to promotion-hunting Forest Green on Saturday (3pm BST kick-off).

While Andy King did not feature in Rangers’ 4-0 Scottish Premiership win at St Johnstone at the weekend, the Premier League-winning midfielder did appear in the UEFA Europa League last week.

Three days earlier, on Thursday, King was a late substitute in a 1-0 triumph over Dutch outfit Feyenoord for Steven Gerrard’s Gers at Ibrox as Sheyi Ojo sealed the winner in Glasgow.

Finally, Ryan Loft (Carlisle United), Layton Ndukwu (Southend United) and Rachid Ghezzal (Fiorentina) were also unused by their loan clubs over the most recent weekend of action.
