- The Foxes recovered well from their loss to Manchester United by beating Tottenham Hotspur, according to the defender
- Evans believes Premier League outfits have changed their tactics when taking on the Foxes due to Jamie Vardy’s strengths

City have amassed 11 points from a possible 18 over six matches this term, courtesy of wins over AFC Bournemouth, Sheffield United and most recently Tottenham Hotspur.

Evans believes his side did well to recover from their first loss of the season, at Manchester United, and knows the character they showed to defeat Tottenham will serve them well throughout 2019/20.

“It’s still early in the season and I still feel like there’s more to come from us,” he said.

The Northern Ireland international has been an ever-present in the Premier League for City this season.

“There will be times I’m sure like where we went to Old Trafford a couple of weeks ago and we didn’t feel like we performed as good as what we can.

"That can happen, and it’s all about how you deal with it. I think we showed that we’ve responded well by getting a result against Spurs at home.”

Evans says sides have altered their approach to facing the Foxes over the past few seasons at King Power Stadium, most notably to deal with the threat of the supremely-talented Jamie Vardy

The defender added: “Leicester have always been reliant over the last four or five years as a counter-attacking team because of that pace that he (Jamie Vardy) provides.

“A lot of teams started sitting a bit deeper and not letting the space in behind. The space becomes in front of us and it’s up to us to try and be patient at the right times, but be positive in our play.”
