Callum Wright and George Hirst netted for the Club's Under-23s during the second half at Lemex Stadium in Stevenage to propel the Foxes up to fifth in Premier League 2 Division 1.
City's youngsters delivered an all-round impressive performance on the night and Beaglehole, City's Senior Professional Development Phase Coach, was immensely satisfied with their efforts.
"The standards are set high, we’ve moved on," he told LCFC TV. "I think what was pleasing today is you could really see the DNA from the first team in what is the second team at Leicester City.
"You could see that DNA, the way they moved the ball at times, and the way we looked to press collectively, so that was pleasing, in a different way, obviously, as there’s a big difference.

"In terms of tactical shape, you could see these are Leicester City’s players, which is great for us because that’s what we’re trying to produce - another player for the first team."
After being denied by late equalisers in 2-2 draws with both Liverpool and Chelsea over recent weeks, Beaglehole was pleased to see City go ahead and then add to their advantage on Friday.
"We’ve had two results where we should have won the games and we didn’t," he continued. "We didn’t manage the games as we should have done.
"We’ve talked about that, we’ve worked on those aspects, and tonight was a really good performance in terms of improvement and development.
The players today showed the development that they’ve made in the last few weeks in this particular game.

"That’s what it’s about and I think the players today showed the development that they’ve made in the last few weeks in this particular game.
"They were two very good goals from George Hirst and Callum Wright and then we defended really well.
"Right at the death, where they had a chance, they’re bound to go for it, to try and get something back, DJ (Darnell Johnson) showed that winning mentality.
"He got back on the line and kept that clean sheet. I thought collectively, they were excellent.
Thomas Thrilled With Spurs Victory
The impressive Luke Thomas caught up with LCFC TV following the Leicester City Development Squad’s 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Friday.
"There were some outstanding performances, but I thought, in particular, Luke Thomas at left-back was superb throughout the game.
"He got forward really well, he got crosses in, and came off. He’s been away with England and got a calf strain, so he did the right thing coming off, but I’m delighted.
"I think the staff behind the team, they deserve a lot of credit. They’ve worked really well with the team this week and it was a well-deserved victory."
Throughout the 2019/20 season, Leicester City Development Squad fixtures are available to watch live and for free on LCFC TV.
