Following the frustration of twice conceding late equalisers against Liverpool and Chelsea, the Club's Under-23s headed into the latter moments with a slender one-goal lead, courtesy of Callum Wright.

With Spurs pushing for a leveller at Lamex Stadium in Stevenage, the Foxes kept their north London hosts out, before going forward and netting a second through George Hirst to seal three points.

Reflecting on City's second win of the season, a result which propels them up to sixth in Premier League 2 Division 1, Thomas was thrilled to see his team-mates rewarded for their efforts.

Thomas Thrilled With Spurs Victory

The impressive Luke Thomas caught up with LCFC TV following the Leicester City Development Squad’s 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Friday.

"We’re all delighted with the performance, I thought we dealt with the game very well," the 18-year-old enterprising full-back told LCFC TV at full-time.

"In the first 15 minutes, they were probably more on top than we were but as a team we dealt with it well and throughout the game we got better and better, I thought.

"We’re all delighted we could get the second goal. Obviously, [against] Liverpool and Chelsea, we were all devastated to concede in the dying seconds of the game.

"To score that second goal was more of a relief for the lads and to go away with three points, we’re all buzzing!"

City's chance creation was particularly impressive in Stevenage and Thomas played a key role, often bursting up the left channel and finding a colleague in an attacking position.

"We’ve had plenty of chances, so many chances that we probably should have put away," he continued.

"At the end of the day we’re delighted to take away the three points and that’s all we’re here to get. I am delighted and I hope to continue that performance to keep my starting place in the team."
