Ed is a presenter for ITV Sport and is the face of horse racing in this country, fronting huge events like the Grand National, Cheltenham Festival and the Derby.
Prior to that, Ed presented a variety of sports in his 19 years at Sky and became their main presenter of the Premier League in 2010.
He hosted Sky Sports’ flagship shows Super Sunday and Monday Night Football, alongside Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher.
Speaking ahead of Tactical Insights 2020, Ed told LCFC.com: “It’s great to be coming back for Tactical Insights. The first time round was fascinating for people who attended, and there was an amazing line up with the England manager and views from those who work in Europe.
"The change in analytics has been remarkable. From I would say, there are two different views as a TV pundit and from a club point of view. From a TV point of view, when I first started, there was no analysis, we were just sat around in armchairs chatting about game with very little insight. My first experience of analysis was with Gary Neville at Sky, as he wanted to question everything – tactics, movement, the lot.
"That has accelerated on from there now, as tactical analysis is very in depth and of a very high quality, and clubs mirror that and more with what they do now. Next year will provide an insight into what clubs are doing.
"Those who come down will be able to pick the brains from the best analysts on the planet. We have another stellar line up and the interesting thing is tapping into other people’s experience, as different clubs do different things. It will be a look into the future about what clubs will do next.
"As a Southampton fan, I’m looking forward to coming to King Power Stadium. I’m expecting a ribbing and certainly won’t be looking into the analysis of Leicester’s 9-0 win at St. Mary’s!"
