However, they picked up their maiden win of 2019/20 with a battling 2-0 triumph over Wolverhampton Wanderers at the New Bucks Head in Telford thanks to goals from Admiral Muskwe and George Hirst.

Alongside their Premier League 2 action, the Club’s Development Squad have earned eight points from three matches in the Trophy.

They began their campaign with a 3-1 shootout success away at Scunthorpe, following a 1-1 draw at Glanford Park despite Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall putting them ahead with three minutes to play.

Just over a month later, Josh Eppiah’s brace, which included a stunning 90th-minute winner, earned a 2-1 success over Grimsby after they recovered from a goal down to emerge victorious at Blundell Park.

Leicester’s last outing in the Trophy, meanwhile, came earlier this month, and it was perhaps their most impressive in the tournament to date, as they beat Sky Bey League 1 side Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.

A penalty from George Hirst, and Dewsbury-Hall’s brilliant long-range effort, saw them come from behind for a second time in the group stages to qualify for the second round of the competition.

The Development Squad will discover who they will face in the second round of the competition when the draw takes place at 3pm on Saturday 16 November.
