Seven Foxes Set For Final International Outings Of 2019

It started on Wednesday as Wilfred Ndidi played from start to finish for Nigeria, who began 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying with a 2-1 victory over the Republic of Benin in Uyo.

A day later, meanwhile, James Maddison, Ben Chilwell, Çağlar Söyüncü and Ricardo Pereira all made headlines on a hugely successful evening for the Club's internationals.

Maddison made his England debut and Chilwell got three assists in a 7-0 qualifying win over Montenegro, while Söyüncü kept a clean sheet as Turkey also qualified with a 0-0 draw against Iceland.

James Maddison and Ben Chilwell starred alongside each other for England's seniors for the first time on Thursday.

Ricardo, on the other hand, returned to the international stage and made an assist as Portugal enjoyed a 6-0 win over Lithuania, edging the UEFA Nations League winners closer to sealing qualification.

On Friday, Kasper Schmeichel's Denmark secured another crucial UEFA EURO qualifying victory while James Justin and Lukáš Hušek also won on the international stage.

Denmark's EURO chances improved further with a 6-0 win over Gibraltar, while Justin's England Under-21s defeated Albania 3-0 and Hušek scored in a 4-1 success against the Netherlands.

Jonny Evans could make his 84th cap for Northern Ireland on Saturday.

On Saturday, meanwhile, Jonny Evans, Youri Tielemans and Luke Thomas were the latest Leicester City stars to feature on the international stage.

Evans, a Premier League ever-present for the Foxes so far in the 2019/20 season, played a hand in Northern Ireland's clean sheet during a 0-0 draw with the Netherlands, meaning they go into the play-offs.

Tielemans was brought on in the 52nd minute as Belgium beat Russia 4-1 in Saint Petersburg to seal top spot in Group I securing a top seed for his side in next summer's competitions.

Ricardo Pereira was typically impressive for Portugal against Lithuania before also starred in Luxembourg.

Academy graduate Thomas, an enterprising left-back who plays for the Club's Development Squad, also starred for England's Under-19s in a 5-0 win over North Macedonia.

On Monday, City full-back Ricardo played another 90 minutes for the current EURO holders in their 2-0 triumph away in Luxembourg at the Stade Josy Barthel, sealing them a place at next summer's finals.

Chilwell also completed another 90 minutes for England as they won 4-0 in Kosovo to finish atop of Group A, while Ndidi featured in Nigeria's 4-2 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying win over Lesotho.
