Leicester City Football Club, also known as the Foxes, is a top-flight English football club, in their sixth consecutive season in the Premier League. In 2015/16, ranked as 5000-1 outsiders, Leicester City were crowned Premier League champions. 

In 2010, the Club was bought by Asian Football Investments, a Thai-led consortium fronted by King Power’s founder and Chairman, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha. The stadium was named King Power Stadium in 2011 and one year later in 2012, King Power International became sole owners of the Club.

About The Role

The Performance Chef role offers an exceptional and unique opportunity to provide an elite catering service to a Premier League Football club. The position is ideal for an experienced Chef who has a passion for creating tasty dishes, whilst being able to demonstrate an understanding of sports nutrition and its impact on performance. 

The role will require you to focus on the nutritional needs of the first team players. Providing high quality food and a five-star service will require innovation, creativity and the ability to work under pressure. Successful candidates must hold the relevant catering industry qualifications and have experience delivering in high level sport.

Working with our Head of Fitness & Conditioning and Club Nutritionist, you will ensure that food provision is carefully tailored to meet the demands of training and matches. Through the design and implementation of such a strategy, the Performance chef will play a key role in fuelling for competition, aiding recovery and reducing the risk of injury and illness. The demands placed on elite players are evolving and it is important that the Performance Chef has the ability to continually develop and seek improvement. 

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will need to have experience of catering for professional sport teams, have strong people management skills, work well under pressure and motivated to drive standards. We are looking for an individual who has creative flair in the kitchen and a passion for creating outstanding, flavoursome dishes. Food must be well presented and most importantly underpinned by Performance Nutrition.
