Harvey Barnes opened the scoring for the Foxes before a rocket from Ricardo gave Brendan Rodgers' hosts a two-goal lead at the break at King Power Stadium.

While a Mark Noble penalty halved the deficit in the second period, a brace from Ayoze Pérez, including a spot-kick of his own, sealed all three points.

City remain third in the Premier League, eight points clear of Chelsea and three points behind Manchester City, and now turn their focus to Emirates FA Cup action.

Reflecting on Leicester's second win over the Hammers in 2019/20, Ricardo told LCFC TV: "We needed that after a few games without winning.

Ricardo: We Needed That

LCFC TV caught up with Ricardo Pereira after a stellar performance in a 4-1 victory over West Ham at King Power Stadium on Wednesday night.

"It was important to play well and to take the three points. We know in the last game we played well but we didn’t win.

"We had to do the same as last week but with being more clinical and fortunately we did it.

"The third goal was very important. After that, we controlled the game again and we upped the tempo and we just managed the game."

Ricardo's third Premier League goal of the season was among his best, a fearsome drive, following an incisive pass from the impressive Barnes.

"I was getting ready before the ball arrived, not go up and I tried to put my body straight to the ball to hit the target and fortunately it was in.

"It was good, I assisted him [Barnes], he assisted me. That’s good for him to score again and to keep going with this momentum.
