The City Season Ticket Holders and Fox Members departed the UK on Friday morning, before later enjoying a tour of the AB InBev brewery in the stunning city of Leuven.

Strengthening the bond between King Power’s two beloved football teams, it is just the latest trip of this nature with supporters of both clubs regularly travelling across the English Channel.

Louise Owen was among the group who headed to Belgium and, speaking at Dover ahead of the trip truly getting underway, she discussed the 'special' connection between Leicester and the fans.

First up for the Blue Army in Leuven was a chance to discover more about the brewery industry in the region.

"It’s just another layer of looking after the fans and it’s just a just a family-feel club," she said. "They’re not like other clubs, it feels very, very close, very special.

"Even the guy on the coach, he was a Tottenham fan and he was just so positive about Leicester, so I just think we’ve generally got a good feel about the place and other people recognise that."

Following an evening spent learning of Leuven's rich brewing industry, as well as a morning tour of the beautiful cultural district, the Blue Army's next port of call was OHL's training ground on Saturday.

The visiting contingent from Leicester learned of Leuven's notable history on a city tour.

They were greeted by the Belgian club's manager, Vincent Euvrard, and a host of first team stars, who talked them through everything from training regimes to life under King Power's ownership.

Later that day, the travelling Foxes contingent made the short journey in Leuven city centre for OHL's vital Proximus League encounter with promotion rivals Lommel.

Housed among OHL supporters in the Den Dreef Stadium stands, the Blue Army quickly made themselves at home, helping to cheer Euvrard's men to a big three points.

The fans were then welcomed to OHL's training ground, ahead of the game later that evening.

Jan Van den Bergh opened the scoring for the Whites, before Derrick Tshimanga and Jérémy Perbert added their names to the scoresheet, sending OHL to the top of the Proximus League standings.

Another Foxes supporter, Sat Dhadli, meanwhile, caught up with LCFC TV at full-time, just as the players were toasting their success with the Leuven faithful.

Reflecting on the weekend, he said: "It was absolutely superb. It's a lovely set-up here. From a Leicester point of view, we've been treated absolutely fantastically.

The Foxes faithful congratulate OHL's players at full-time at Den Dreef.

"The hospitality has been superb, you couldn't wish for more. It was quite heart-warming to see King Power on their shirts, that got to me.

"When I saw that, there was a bit of familiarity there. It's been enjoyable all the way through the trip. It's been a great experience."
