Ndidi's Pursuit Of Personal Growth Explained In LCFCQ

A unique glimpse into the lives of key figures at Leicester City is once again available in the latest edition of LCFCQ, the Club's official quarterly magazine.

Issue 11, on sale now on shop.LCFC.com, is fronted by City's industrious Nigerian central midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, who chats to LCFCQ about his upbringing in Lagos.

Brought up in an army barracks until he was 14 years-old, Ndidi's talent sent him on a remarkable journey from his home country to Belgium, before moving to Leicester in the winter of 2017.

Across a far-reaching feature, the 23-year-old remembers some of the key people in his life, including his parents and former coaches, who have helped him become one of the best midfielders in English football.

Elsewhere in Issue 11, former Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool and Celtic defender Kolo Touré - now a trusted member of Brendan Rodgers' coaching team - recalls his incredible career in the game.

The two-time Premier League champion explains how he spent his youth playing football in Bouaké, the second largest city in Ivory Coast, a country who Touré helped win the Africa Cup of Nations in 2015.

A colourful and popular character at the Football Club, Touré is now building a reputation as one of the most exciting coaches in England and his love for life is clear from reading this exclusive interview.

On-loan defender Ryan Bennett, on the other hand, met up with LCFCQ earlier this year at Stayfree Music in Leicester to share his passion for playing the guitar, a pastime with unique origins.

Ever since a chance trip to a music shop with former Fox James Wesolowski during their time together at Peterborough United, Bennett, on loan from Wolves, has harnessed his love for music into a real talent.

The 30-year-old also explains the madness of transfer deadline day, after twice switching clubs with minutes to spare, while also detailing why former Ipswich Town defender Titus Bramble was his idol growing up.

England Under-18s left-back Luke Thomas, meanwhile, is one player at the Club who is hoping to forge a career in the sport he has played on parks across the region for as long as he can remember.

Now a prominent part of City's Development Squad, Thomas grew up in Leicestershire, but as he tells LCFCQ, he in fact started out aspiring to be a striker in the mould of Arsenal legend Thierry Henry.

Furthermore, Matt Reeves, the Club's Head of Fitness & Conditioning discusses the fascinating world of football analysis and details why even the smallest adjustments in training can have an enormous impact.

All of this, plus a nostalgic look back to our League Cup triumph in 2000, John Hutchinson's feature on a long-forgotten steam locomotive called Leicester City and Arlo White's regular column charting the life of a Leicester-supporting broadcaster on American television, is available across 84 pages of exclusive content.
