Belgian international Praet missed Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Watford due to a calf strain, but the 26-year-old could be in the squad for City’s behind-closed-doors return to action against Brighton.

Rodgers’ outfit take on the Seagulls at King Power Stadium, with the potential inclusion of Praet a welcome boost, as the Foxes go in search of a first three points since the top flight's restart.

“There’s only an inclusion, with Dennis Praet back available in the squad,” he told the national media from the Club's training ground in a virtual press conference via Zoom on Monday afternoon.

“That’s really good for us, he’s trained and is available.”

The Belgian midfielder featured in City's last home game against Aston Villa in March, but missed Saturday's clash with Watford through injury.

The Northern Irishman also reported a clean bill of health for the rest of the squad, but admitted he will be monitoring fitness levels closely ahead of the run-in, which sees City play a further eight league games in just over a month.

“Everyone else is fine, it’s just managing it,” Rodgers continued.

We just need to assess the freshness of the team to ensure we have that energy in the game and we just take each game really.

“You never want to make too many changes, but we played Saturday and obviously Tuesday is a quick turnaround.

“So we just need to assess the freshness of the team to ensure we have that energy in the game and we just take each game really.”
