The Foxes are scheduled to face the Gunners at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday evening (8:15pm kick-off) in their first of just five remaining fixtures in the 2019/20 season.

Rodgers' men, third in the Premier League table, are nine points above seventh-placed Arsenal, but the Northern Irishman pointed to their improvement under Arteta's guidance.

While Leicester defeated the north London side 2-0 at King Power Stadium back in November, the Spaniard has guided the 13-time English champions to four consecutive wins.

"I think Mikel’s done very, very well since he’s gone in," Rodgers explained on Monday morning. "He’s gone into a club with a huge expectation, which he knows from being a player there.

The team are really well organised. They look to play how Arsenal’s supporters would want them to play because it’s not just about winning there, you have to win in a certain style.

"He’s gone in for his first job into a huge task and I think how he’s dealt with it so far has been outstanding. From a tactical perspective, he’s made it clear how he wants them to play.

"You can see that style and it’s not an easy style to implement at a club that wants to be challenging straight away as well, so he’s shown courage to develop that.

"They’ve played out of a couple of systems, but the style’s always remained the same, and that’s something that will bode well for them – and for him as well – in the future.

Saka celebrated signing a new deal with Arsenal by scoring their opener at Wolves on Saturday.

"He’s made some very, very good steps, and they’re also on the back of some really good results, so we’ll look forward to that challenge. From his perspective, he’s done very well."

Assessing the difference in the test Arsenal are likely to pose, compared with their visit to Leicester last year, Rodgers expects much of the same, owing to their cohort of 'outstanding' players.

"Unai [Emery] got some good results as well, but when I assess and analyse the team, there’s real clarity in how they work and how they play," he added.

"They’ve got a big expectation at Arsenal and some outstanding players, who are dangerous players, and we know that. We’ve seen that in their recent results.

The responsibility is always with the team to score goals and we haven’t been as creative – or as intense – as I’d have liked, but [beating Palace] gives us confidence

"It’ll be a really difficult game for us, but that’s the challenge and we’re really looking forward to that."

The Foxes manager was pleased with the creativity shown in Saturday's success over Crystal Palace, which saw Jamie Vardy break through the 100 Premier League goals threshold.

However, Rodgers believes it is down to the entire team to contribute to their attacking endeavours and says the nature of that victory will give them confidence going forward.

"The responsibility is always with the team to score goals and we haven’t been as creative – or as intense – as I’d have liked, but [beating Palace] gives us confidence," he continued.

Long-serving Foxes, Vardy and Schmeichel, celebrate City's success over the Eagles.

"Our intensity was really good. We were fighting for every ball and we know how tough Crystal Palace can be to break down and we eventually got there.

"By the end of the game, certainly in the second half, we showed our fitness level and Jamie showed his quality and the team showed their resilience to get a very good result.

"We’re hoping that bodes well now for us for the remainder of the season."
