One of several new players recruited over the summer, the former England youth international told LCFC TV that she cannot wait to get started following a long break from competitive football.

The 2019/20 campaign was curtailed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, meaning Flint has not played since February, when she netted for Rovers against Sheffield United Women.

Now a Foxes player, Flint expects it to be another competitive season in the second tier, but believes that the atmosphere within the group has helped City's new-look squad to gel quickly.

As a new player coming in this year, the old players have been so welcoming, it's been good.

"Everyone's excited to get going," the forward revealed. "Like you said, we're a full-time club, everyone's just excited to see what we'll do in the season.

"Obviously, we're looking for promotion. We're looking to win every game, keep clean sheets and just grow as a team, really.

"Of course, yes, it will be tough because we've got half a new squad, half an old squad. But I think if we crack down, we should be able to do fine.

Flint Eagerly Awaits Rovers Reunion

Natasha Flint speaks to LCFC TV ahead of facing her former side, Blackburn Rovers, in the FA Women's Championship on Sunday.

Flint's first competitive outing for the Foxes could come against her old club, Blackburn Rovers Ladies, for whom she made 66 appearances in all competitions, scoring 70 times in a goal-laden two-and-a-half year spell with the Lancashire outfit.

The 24-year-old admits she is still in contact with many of her ex-team-mates that she may feature against on Sunday.

Flint added: "Yes, [I'm still friends with] a lot of them. Of course, I want to get one over on them, but at the same time, I'm not going to rub it in their face if I do!"
