Sean Dyche's Clarets are due to visit King Power Stadium in the Premier League for a 7pm kick-off on Sunday as the Foxes look to build on last week's 3-0 win over West Bromwich Albion.

For the visitors, it will be the Lancashire club's maiden league outing this term, although they did commence their Carabao Cup campaign on Thursday with a shootout success over Sheffield United.

Speaking to the national media on Friday afternoon, Rodgers outlined his belief that Burnley are a side with an admirable array of technical players, following their 10th-placed finish last term.

"You’ve got to prepare with equal detail and concentration," the Northern Irishman said, when quizzed on how different Sunday's challenge will be to the one posed by the Baggies a week ago.

"I’ve huge respect for Sean and Burnley and the work that they’ve done. Watching and analysing their games, from last season, they don’t get respect for the football they play.

Rodgers: A Different Challenge

Manager Brendan Rodgers speaks to the national media ahead of Leicester City's clash with Burnley at King Power Stadium.

"They’re really, really talented players. They’re always super organised, they’ve got a really good balance in their team, between attacking and defending.

"They’ve got some highly gifted, technical players that can play football too and Sean has turned them into that type of team over these last number of years.

"They’ve consolidated their Premier League place with some great finishes, so for us, last week was a test at a newly promoted team, away from home, and we rose to that challenge.

"It’ll be a different challenge on Sunday, but equally as tough, playing Burnley. A lot of focus has gone into it and we’ll be ready on Sunday."

Rodgers was particularly pleased by his side's performance at the Hawthorns last week and believes the Foxes can take confidence from their exploits in the West Midlands.

Goalkeeper Training Ahead Of Burnley

Kasper Schmeichel and the Foxes 'keepers prepare for Sunday's Premier League clash.

"It was a very important win for us," the 47-year-old added. "Whatever we did last season, that was gone. We now arrive into a new season which we’re all excited by.

"Of course, you need to put in a performance which shows that confidence and the players were able to do that. We had a really good defensive base in the team.

"The first period of the game was not as fluent as what we would’ve wanted, but after that first 20-25 minutes, we started to get our rhythm back.

"The players, by the end, were playing at a really, really good level, with good intensity and everyone tells you, if you win games and play well, it makes you happy.

"It was a good win against a good side, who were obviously going to be full of motivation, but we coped well with that and played well."
