Forward Kelechi Iheanacho could be line to make his first start of the season against the Gunners.

Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers said: “Because of the limited number of games that we've had and training time we've had, I'm going to have to make a number of changes. We're going to rely on the squad this year and I need to get some players some game time and up to speed. The idea will be to go out and win the game and we'll put a team out to do that."

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said: "Kieran [Tierney] is fine. He had a little muscular discomfort in the last few days. He tried today (Saturday) and worked in the warm-up but he wasn't feeling comfortable. We could not control it. We believed that he was going to be fit but during the warm-up, in the last 10 minutes, he said he wasn't feeling okay. We had to make a decision. We were prepared just in case and Kola (Sead Kolašinac) came on and had a good game.

Jamie Vardy's late equaliser rescued a point in City's last fixture with Arsenal.

The two sides last met in the Premier League in July 2020 when Jamie Vardy's 84th minute equaliser cancelled out Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's opener and ensured City took a point home from north London.

Arsenal had been reduced to 10 men when Eddie Nketiah was sent off 15 minutes from time and the Foxes capitalised on their numerical advantage to level the match at Emirates Stadium.
