Leicester have won one and lost one of their opening two league fixtures, beating Manchester United Under-23s before losing to Everton Under-23s.

Former Manchester City youngster Hulme, who signed for the Foxes from Bury in 2019, says everyone eager to get back out onto the pitch after last week's disappointment.

"After the Everton game we sat down and reflected on it and put it behind us, now we just look forward to the game on Monday," he told LCFC.com.

"We've worked on what we should have done better in the game against Everton and look to improve on the things that we need to improve on as a team and individuals.

Hulme says the squad have enjoyed a good week of training in preparation for Monday's fixture.

"Blackburn are a good side, as you can see from last season when we played them, and travelling away, it's a long journey but we'll be going there knowing we can do well.

"Everyone on the coach, we all play a few games together and I think team bonding is a key part to gelling as a team on the pitch."

The Foxes then travel to Derby County on Friday 2 October, followed by another away game, against Harrogate Town in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday 6 October.

Hulme is relishing this busy period of fixtures, especially after waiting so long to return to the pitch, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which curtailed the 2019/20 campaign.

City's Development Squad finished second in Premier League 2 Division 1 last season and reached the quarter-finals of the EFL Trophy - two competitions which Hulme wants to do well in again this campaign.

Callum Wright and George Hirst found the net as the Club's Development Squad opened their 2020/21 EFL Trophy campaign with a win at Hull City.

The 19-year-old continued: "The games are coming thick and fast and over the next few weeks, with these upcoming games, it will be tough.

"But the lads like challenges and as a team, I think we can overcome the challenge and do well. It's been a good experience for me personally.

"Obviously I came from Bury and played a few first team games for them and then breaking into the Under-23s here, it's been good.

"We want to try and finish top if possible and do well in the EFL Trophy, which we are doing at moment. But overall we'll just try and aim as high as we can in the league."
