Leicester City in the Community has a fantastic opportunity for a Youth Engagement Coach (Kicks) to join our dynamic team. 

About The Role 

Premier League Kicks is a flagship targeted programme that utilises the power of football, sports participation and youth engagement activities, alongside personal development opportunities to help ‘hard-to-reach’ young people (aged 8 – 25 years) in some of the most high-need areas.

As a Youth Engagement Coach you will be integral to the successful delivery and growth of the Kicks programme across Leicester and Leicestershire. You will focused on the engagement and development of young people, helping them to build life skills, develop healthy relationships and make decisions that are right for them.

Key duties of the role are:

• To engage, inspire and empower young people to reach their full potential
• To deliver high-quality sessions that engage, enthuse and progress young people
• To support the development and delivery of high-quality, impactful sport and/or youth engagement sessions in areas of high need across the city and county
• To lead on and/or support sessions for a minimum of three evenings per week and at weekends.

Skills required for success:

• Hold relevant professional qualifications in Sports Coaching or Level 2 Youth Work.
• Relevant experience of engaging with young people in a community setting
• A track record of engaging participants from hard to reach backgrounds and underrepresented groups.
• Knowledge and understanding of young people and the challenges that they face
• Experience of planning and delivering youth engagement activity sessions in a community environment
• Must satisfy relevant pre-employment checks including enhanced DBS check 

Contract Type – 12 month fixed term contract
Hours Per Week – 20, You may be required to work outside of normal office hours, at evenings and weekends.

Location – LCitC is based at King Power Stadium, Leicester. The delivery of sessions with take part at partner locations, therefore you will need the ability to travel across multiple sites across Leicester and Charnwood. You may need to travel to multiple sites within one day.
