The central defender agreed a five-year deal with the Foxes and becomes the Football Club’s third signing of the summer following the arrivals of Timothy Castagne from Atalanta and Cengiz Ünder, on loan, from AS Roma.

A maiden senior goal

A 4-1 drubbing of OGC Nice sees Fofana score his first goal as a professional, and Saint-Étienne’s fourth of the evening, following earlier strikes from Denis Bouanga (2) and Romain Hamouma.

Starting 2020/21 positively

A 2-0 success against Lorient – Saint-Étienne and Fofana’s first match of 2020/21 – came after a brace from Hamouma at Geoffroy Stadium. It was the first of four Ligue 1 outings for Fofana before his move to Leicester City.
