Young Foxes Suffer Defeat In Brighton

Leicester City's Under-18s were beaten by Brighton & Hove Albion at The Amex Elite Football Performance Centre on Saturday afternoon.

Deploying a 4-5-1 system on the south coast, the young Foxes fell behind inside just two minutes as Marcus Ifill put the Seagulls ahead early on.

However, a quick equaliser from young forward Kian Pennant, assisted by Wanya Marcal-Madivadua, got the visitors back on level terms just two minutes later.

Despite that effort giving City hope, Cameron Peupion restored Brighton's lead, before efforts from Matt Everitt and Andrew Moran, plus another for Peupion, handed the home side a commanding lead at the break.

Another two efforts from Moran, completing the Seagulls striker's hat-trick, compounded Leicester's frustration at The Amex Elite Football Performance Centre, with the score ending 7-1 to Brighton.

The young Foxes, currently 13th in the U18 Premier League South standings, are next in action away at Chelsea on Saturday 7 November (12pm GMT kick-off).
