City's Under-18s Suffer West Brom Reverse

Leicester City were beaten 3-1 by West Bromwich Albion in the U18 Premier League South at Belvoir Drive on Saturday afternoon.

An experimental line-up was deployed by the young Foxes at the Club's training ground, with several trialists in action for the home side against the Baggies.

It was the visitors who took the lead on 39 minutes, however, as Alex Williams put West Brom into the ascendancy, but Leicester would hit back before the interval.

After linking up smartly with Sammy Braybroke, Kian Pennant got City back on level terms, sending the two sides in at the break on level terms.

However, the Baggies reasserted themselves in the second period, with Jovan Malcolm netting a brace for the away side to seal a 3-1 victory at Belvoir Drive.

As a result, Leicester's youngsters sit 13th in the U18 Premier League South standings, ahead of travelling to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday 28 November (11:30am GMT kick-off).
