Following a hard fought 2-1 victory over West Ham United Under-23s, the Foxes have now won back-to-back Premier League 2 games for the first time this season.

Senior Professional Development Phase Coach, Beaglehole, believes it gives the team something to build on moving forwards and says players must take their opportunities when called upon, ahead of Monday afternoon's 12pm kick-off at Hotspur Way.

"Confidence is high in the camp and that's built on good results," Beaglehole told LCFC.com. "It was an excellent performance against West Ham, particularly after going down to 10 men in such a short period of time.

"I was really pleased, the lads look really fit, really strong, but obviously we'll miss Vontae [Daley-Campbell] now through suspension and we're also without Ali Reghba, who is still suspended.

Goals: Leicester City U23s 2 West Ham United U23s 1

Enjoy the goals from King Power Stadium as a brace from Demarai Gray sealed victory for Leicester City's Development Squad.

"We have got a lot of games to come, we play Monday and the Under-18s play on Saturday and we're playing a number of the Under-18s in the Development Squad. With Salford City (in the EFL Trophy) and Southampton coming up, everyone is certainly getting chances to play games."

Beaglehole was able to select Ricardo Pereira, Demarai Gray and Islam Slimani against the Hammers and is in no doubt that the experience of playing alongside first team players will help the young players' development.

"We won't have the seniors this time but I think those we had were great, it was really good to get Ricardo back on after so long," he continued.

"Obviously to have Slim (Islam Slimani) and Demarai [Gray] in was terrific as well because when they play, our seniors always show a good attitude.

"They are very respectful to the young players, the staff and they pass on a lot of good habits and their play is there for everybody to see, that's why they are top players.

We had a run where we couldn't buy a win and since then we've progressed and done a lot of work on the training ground, but you've got to keep doing it.

"Demarai's two goals epitomised the top quality that you need to have at that level to play Premier League football. It was good to have the three senior players in, but when you don't have them, it's a good chance for other players to step in and show what they can do."

Currently sitting 10th in the PL2 table with nine points from seven games, Beaglehole is hoping City can produce another good performance in the capital on Monday, as they strive for more consistency within the league programme.

"It's a good habit to get into, winning games, and I hope that we can continue it," he said of the side's recent form. "We've improved a lot of late.

"We had a run where we couldn't buy a win and since then we've progressed and we've done a lot of work on the training ground, but you've got to keep doing it.

"We're at a big Club with high expectations, not just for the senior team, but all the teams that we have. We expect to win games now more than any other time since I've been here, that's the progression that the Club has made."
