Leicester City Football Club has adopted the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s (IHRA) working definition of antisemitism, as part of its ongoing commitment to promote equality and diversity and to combat discrimination of any form in football.

The Foxes have joined the Premier League and a number of its member clubs in recognising the working definition, which has been formally adopted by the Government of the United Kingdom, and those of over 30 other countries.
Leicester City Chief Executive Susan Whelan said: “The Club is committed to creating a passionate, inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone and welcomes the opportunity take proactive steps in combating all forms of discrimination.
“The clarity provided by the IHRA’s working definition enables us to more effectively manage antisemitic behaviour and provides a point of reference from which we can set robust standards moving forward.”
The IHRA’s working definition of antisemitism states:
Antisemitism is a certain perception of Jews, which may be expressed as hatred toward Jews. Rhetorical and physical manifestations of antisemitism are directed toward Jewish or non-Jewish individuals and/or their property, toward Jewish community institutions and religious facilities.
