Hannah Cain celebrates scoring the only goal of the game as City overcame Crystal Palace in Quorn.

City will be aiming for a ninth league victory on the bounce when they travel to the capital, following a 1-0 success versus Crystal Palace last Sunday, secured thanks to Hannah Cain's firs-half goal.

The Foxes remain at the Championship's summit courtesy of having a better goal difference than second-placed Durham, who have played one game more than the Foxes.

The top two meet each other for the second time this season next weekend, in a rearranged fixture at Maiden Castle Sports Park on Sunday 14 March (12pm kick-off).

Charlie Estcourt
Charlie Estcourt

Charlie Estcourt played for Reading, Bristol City and Charlton Athletic before her move to the Bees.

Welsh international midfielder Charlie Estcourt came through the ranks at Reading, enjoying loan spells at Bristol City and Charlton Athletic ahead of arriving at London Bees in the summer of 2020. The 22-year-old netted a stunning long-range free-kick in defeat to Durham earlier in the campaign, before also scoring against Sheffield United last month.

Forward Lauren Pickett has scored twice for the Bees in all competitions this term, during two 1-0 wins over Lewes. The 22-year-old is into her third season with the club after signing from Tottenham Hotspur in July 2018. She was also a regular source of goals during the shortened 2019/20 Championship campaign, finding the net six times.

Amelia Hazard, 20, is another young player the Foxes will have to watch out for. The England Under-21s international came through MK Dons' academy before signing for Arsenal in February 2018. She made the move to London Bees ahead of 2019/20 and quickly impressed as a skilful midfielder with an eye for goal, scoring in the League Cup defeat to Crystal Palace.

London Bees play their home games at The Hive Stadium, also home to Barnet FC.

After last season's impressive fifth-place finish, London Bees have endured a difficult campaign to date, parting company with manager Lee Burch in February and placing first team coach Sian Osmond in temporary charge until the end of the season.

Defeated in their last four outings, the Bees will be looking to tighten up defensively having conceded 13 goals during that run of results. Next up, the London side travel to face Lewes at The Dripping Pan on Sunday 28 March (2pm kick-off).

Jonathan Morgan revealed that Remi Allen is in contention to return to the starting XI for the trip to London Bees.

LCFC Women manager Jonathan Morgan said: "One thing I'm hoping that will help us for this part [of the season] is our squad depth, we have a lot of good girls. We were able to make three changes to the starting XI (against Crystal Palace). Remi [Allen] had a little bit of a knock and she's now back fighting fit ready for Sunday. We showed that we could change our formation and for people to come in and step up the way they did, I think it will give us the edge."

Millie Farrow
Millie Farrow

Millie Farrow scored City's third goal during the 3-0 win over London Bees in December 2020.

Foxes forwards Natasha Flint, Paige Bailey-Gayle and Millie Farrow were all on the scoresheet as City triumphed 3-0 in the reverse fixture at Farley Way Stadium back in December 2019.

In the previous campaign, meanwhile, the two teams played out a thrilling 3-3 draw when they met in Quorn in September 2019.

Leicester raced into a two-goal lead thanks to early strikes from Leigh Dugmore and Lucy Johnson, before Lauren Pickett and Nikita Whinnett drew the visitors level either side of the break. Pickett thought she had snatched victory for the Bees with her second goal in the 85th-minute, but Natalie Johnson's late equaliser saw the points shared.
