Coventry United were the latest visitors to be overcome at Farley Way Stadium on Sunday, as a brace from Natasha Flint earned a 2-0 victory for the top-of-the-table Foxes.

Levell, who has played every minute of every league game this season, credited the way in which City went about their business at both ends of the pitch, keeping a fourth clean sheet in a row and moving five points clear at the FA Women's Championship summit.

Speaking to LCFC TV after Leicester's 11th successive league victory, she commented: "I think everyone's really happy. We knew that we just wanted to go out and get the win today and it just brings us a step closer to our actual goal.

I'm proud of the back four and the team as a collective, just grinding out the result and making sure that we don't give any sloppy chances to the opposition.

"I think we just keep going in this direction and keep taking each game as it comes. Not only are we looking to go and get the three points and get as many goals as we can, we're also looking at our clean sheets and I'm very happy with how my back four are performing.

"I think since the Christmas break, since we came back, we've conceded two so, myself, I'm proud of that and obviously again, proud of the back four and the team as a collective. We're just grinding out the result and making sure that we don't give any sloppy chances to the opposition."

One of several summer signings, the former Everton shot-stopper is loving her time at the Club since making the move to Leicester and credited the welcoming atmosphere as a key factor in her being able to settle in quickly.

"I'm really enjoying it," Levell revealed. "I think at first [it's] hard moving away from home as I'm such a home person, but the team made me feel welcome. The manager too, of course, it's so good. Then you've got the goalkeeper union, two very good goalkeepers with myself and the goalkeeper coach.

"We're just like a little family. We come to training and tell each other our problems, get on with the day, it's great.

"I'm very happy as a team with how much we've gelled together and since the beginning of the season, when we all came in, I just think it's been amazing journey so far and I can't wait to continue with this team."

Levell Loving Leicester Life

Goalkeeper Kirstie Levell caught up with LCFC TV on Sunday following LCFC Women's 2-0 victory over Coventry United.

Levell revealed the group are determined to right the wrongs of their only league defeat of the season, which came away to their next opponents, London City Lionesses, who the Foxes meet in Quorn on Sunday 4 April (2pm BST kick-off).

The 24-year-old added: "I think we've got three games left to go, so we just want to take as much away from it as we can. We're still looking at each game, of course. It's a different opposition and yes it's going be a very competitive game next week.

"We know that we didn't do so well last time against them, we want to put that right. We're excited for it."
