The Foxes welcome Everton Under-23s to LCFC Training Ground on Monday evening (7pm kick-off) looking to secure their first three points of the season.

City have so far drawn two and lost one of their opening three games in Premier League 2 Division 1, beginning the campaign with back-to-back away stalemates at Manchester United and Blackburn Rovers.

But following defeat to Crystal Palace last time out, a game City played with 10 men for the majority, Young knows that the group must now work hard to produce a response.

Brad Young has started all four of City's PL2 and Papa John's Trophy fixtures so far in 2021/22.

The shot-stopper told LCFC.com ahead of the Everton fixture: “We’ve had a half decent start to the season but we’re definitely looking to push on and hopefully we’ve got big things to come from the group.

“We’ve got to bounce back from Palace. Obviously, it was disappointing. It wasn’t ideal circumstances losing a man that early but it’s something that could happen in a game so it’s just about how we react.

“I believe in the lads and everyone around this week, we really want to put that right on Monday against Everton and hopefully we can. We’re expecting them to come and be pretty confident. We’ve just got to stay as a unit, stay as a group and the things that we’re working on, keeping to that plan.

It’s a great Club and there’s a great atmosphere around the Club. Coming in, the lads, coaches and staff have been great with me to settle in and hit the ground running.

“Getting that first win would be massive and build momentum. It’s a great group and we’ve got a very high standard of footballing ability in the group. We’ll kick on and see where it takes us.”

Reflecting on his first few months at Leicester, the former Hartlepool ‘keeper revealed he has enjoyed the experience of being based at LCFC Training Ground and also praised the welcoming atmosphere within the team, providing an environment in which he can flourish.

“It’s been great,” the 19-year-old added. “It’s a great club and there’s a great atmosphere around the place. Coming in, the lads, coaches and staff have been great with me to settle in and hit the ground running.

“I’ve really enjoyed my football and everything around the Club. The facilities, you’ve got everything here that you need and we’ve just got to use that the best we can. I feel the benefits massively already. It’s a good process and I’ve loved every minute of the games.”
