Daka's Determination For Palace Trip

- Leicester City must continue to work hard to pick up results, says Patson Daka
- The Foxes visit Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Sunday (2pm BST kick-off)
- Daka was naturally disappointed to leave Legia Warsaw with no UEFA Europa League points
- He insists he will continue to work hard in training in order to score goals for the Club

The Foxes go into the clash with Patrick Vieira's Eagles on the back of a 1-0 defeat at Legia Warsaw in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday evening, while Palace's most recent outing was a 1-1 top-flight draw with Brighton & Hove Albion at Selhurst Park three days earlier.

Daka, who has started both of City's fixtures in Europe, believes everyone in the squad knows the importance of that visit to south London, with Leicester looking for three points ahead of the next international break. 

"It’s another exciting game," the Zambia international told LCFC TV following full-time in Poland. "Everyone is looking forward to the Palace game.

"It’s an interesting game for everyone and we know how important it is for us to give our best and make sure we have maximum points. It has not been an easy start for us, so we’re looking forward to continue working and to see how many points we can get.

"They are a very good side. They have started well and the previous game, they drew. I know it’s not going to be easy, but we just have to do our very best. Everything is possible. We have the ability to get the maximum points from that game."

Daka was naturally frustrated by that reverse in Warsaw, but backed his team-mates to respond with a positive performance in the capital on Sunday. The 22-year-old says the responsibility falls on them to improve City's form on all fronts over the coming weeks and months.

"It’s a disappointing result," he added. "It’s not what we hoped for or what we worked for. We gave our very best, but we have to stay positive. We need to stay together as a team. We need to continue working hard. We are the only people who can change things.

"We have to continue working hard to try and keep our heads high. I’m sure we’ve got everything it’ll take to put ourselves back to where we belong."

The former RB Salzburg striker was nonetheless pleased to enjoy more game time for the Foxes and says he will continue to give his all to enable him to start scoring goals for Leicester. He netted 34 times in all competitions in Austria last season before his switch to the East Midlands.

"It’s very good for me," he explained. "I’m really happy with how I was able to get some more minutes. It’s just unfortunate that it didn’t go the way I hoped for, but I just have to continue working hard each and every day.

"When I’m given the opportunity, I have to do my very best, so I don’t regret anything. I just hope that, going forward, things will start going the way I hope."
