Featuring in qualifying for the 2022 AFC Under-23 Asian Cup, the 21-year-old assisted Jakkit Palapon’s 10th-minute opener to put Thailand in the lead at Football Centre MFF in Ulaanbaatar, before the hosts equalised with less than 15 minutes to play courtesy of Baljinnyam Batbold.
Thailand sit second in Group I after matchday one, with the top-placed nation from the four-team pool qualifying for next year’s finals, along with the five best runners-up from the 11 groups.
Speaking after the final whistle, Suengchitthawon commented: "I was very proud to be captain of the team, but I think we should have a better result. We have to keep winning in the rest of the competition.

“We have to play better together and not open space for the opponent to attack. We did well in this game. We have to try to maintain the standard, we have to improve on our mistakes.
“The other two games, we don't have to think too much about. We must do our best to win. Thank you to all football fans who follow and support us. In the remaining two games I will do my best to win for the fans.”
Next up, Thailand Under-23s will compete in their second Asian Cup qualifying fixture, facing Laos PDR Under-23s on Thursday 28 October (8am kick-off).
