Following the 1-1 draw with Spartak Moscow at King Power Stadium in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday, the Foxes return to domestic responsibilities with an intriguing trip to Elland Road to tackle Marcelo Bielsa's Yorkshire outfit.

Harvey Barnes and James Maddison, who missed that encounter with the 22-time Russian champions, could be back from illness on Sunday, while Ricardo Pereira may also be ready to feature after reporting a 'tightening' in the Carabao Cup success over Brighton & Hove Albion.

Wilfred Ndidi, on the other hand, emerged from the bench on Thursday to make his first outing since 25 September after a hamstring injury.

City & Spartak Claim A Point

Dan Amartey cancelled out Victor Moses' opener during Thursday's UEFA Europa League clash on Filbert Way.

"Hopefully the players who were out [on Thursday] should be back and available, Harvey [Barnes] and James Maddison," Rodgers has revealed. "Obviously, Wilf Ndidi got some game time, which is great. Ricardo Pereira should be fine also, so we should get a few players back for the weekend."

The Foxes manager is especially pleased to have Ndidi back, with the Nigerian playing just over half an hour on Filbert Way against Spartak. His defensive solidity will be invaluable for City going forward, Rodgers says.

"He’s very, very important for us, from a defensive perspective," the Northern Irishman continued. "He covers a lot of space. In those defensive moments, you need that player to get back in. He’s a very, very important player for us and it’s great to have him back."
