The Spanish outfit will face the Foxes on Sunday 31 July (6pm kick-off), just a week before the start of the 2022/23 Premier League campaign, with tickets now on general sale.

Julen Lopetegui’s side – who finished fourth in La Liga in 2021/22 – hold the record for the number of UEFA Europa League titles, winning the competition most recently in 2020.

The two teams last met in 2017, with the Foxes famously coming out on top over two legs in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16, which secured a last-eight tie against Atlético Madrid.

The friendly against Los Nervionenses adds to LCFC’s list of pre-season fixtures, with games against Notts County, OH Leuven, Hull City, Derby County and Preston North End also scheduled.

Please be aware the Club will be offering mobile match tickets for the first time for this fixture as part of a test event for this new technology ahead of the new Premier League season. The system will allow the Club to improve security and, in the long term, reduce the carbon footprint created by printing thousands of paper and plastic tickets for every match.

Every Season Ticket Holder throughout King Power Stadium will be offered the opportunity to use mobile ticketing, while it will also be the default method of entry for Fox Members and general-sale ticket holders in the South Stand for this fixture.
