Dewsbury-Hall: Be On The Front Foot

For the first time in 23 years, the Foxes face the Reds in the Premier League, the first-ever top-flight encounter at King Power Stadium. The 2022/23 season, however, hasn't been what either side will have hoped for so far, with each occupying a place in the bottom three.

Dewsbury-Hall sees Monday's Filbert Way clash as an opportunity for Leicester to reset the momentum of their season against rivals Forest.

"I was only just born when the previous [Premier League] fixture happened," City's No.22 told LCFC TV. "In my lifetime, in the Premier League, I've never known it to happen. As a young lad growing up in Leicestershire, I know how important this derby is to the fans. I've grown up in that environment.

This is a game where you can create a bit of history, a bit of folklore in the Football Club, and that's what you crave as a footballer.

"We've not been able to experience it in the top flight so it'll be a special feeling. This is a game where you can create a bit of history, a bit of folklore in the Football Club, and that's what you crave as a footballer. You want to have your name etched in history."

The Shepshed-raised midfielder knows all too well that the game will be a tense on Filbert Way - and he can't wait for the challenge.

We've got a really, really good squad and we need to show that now. We want to just, from minute one, be on the front foot, not let the opposition team in for a minute.

"It's a massive game, everybody knows that, and it's going to be fiery," Dewsbury-Hall added. "There's going to be heart-on-your-sleeve moments. I'm definitely looking forward to it, I'm chomping at the bit to get going.

"It's a big jump up [to the Premier League] and we know we've got the players to [win]. We've got a really, really good squad and we need to show that now. We want to just, from minute one, be on the front foot, not let the opposition team in for a minute.

"Hopefully that will contribute to us getting three points which, at the moment, would be a massive thing."
