- Jonny Evans (calf) will be assessed before Saturday's clash with Everton (5:30pm kick-off)
- Leicester City take on the Toffees at Goodison Park in their penultimate league game before the break
- Ricardo Pereira (Achilles) is also progressing well as part of his long-term recovery plan

The Foxes skipper has been absent with a calf injury since 8 October but the Club's medical staff will continue to monitor his situation with a view to bringing him back into the XI. City take on Everton at Goodison Park in a 5:30pm kick-off on Saturday evening.

"We’ll decide on that tomorrow (Friday), whether he’s going to be ready to have an impact, or whether it’ll be Tuesday (vs. Newport County in the Carabao Cup)," Rodgers said. "It’s been a little bit slower than we’d have hoped but he was out training with the squad today we’ll evaluate the risk on that and take it from there."

He’s working very hard. Mentally, he’s in a very good place. He’s had a tough time with long-term injuries but he’s coping very well, working hard, and still well on schedule.

Ricardo Pereira, on the other hand, is continuing to recover from a ruptured Achilles sustained in pre-season and Rodgers has been pleased with his progress.

"He’s doing very well," the Northern Irishman added. "The target time for him is going to be around January time. He’s working very hard. Mentally, he’s in a really good place. He’s had a tough, though time with long-term injuries but he’s coping very well, working very hard, and still well on schedule for coming back for the second half of the season."
