City’s youngsters were due to face Aston Villa in league action last weekend, but saw their match postponed due to a frozen pitch.

This means the Foxes have had to wait an extra week to get back to action at LCFC Training Ground, however coach Barradell confirmed that the players aren’t fazed as they stay focused on the challenge ahead.

“It’s disappointing that the game got called off, but we managed to have a good training day with the boys and do some match work,” Barradell told LCFC.com. “It’s out of our control; that’s three games we’ve had postponed now but the boys are looking forward to Norwich.

This weekend will be an opportunity to make things right and build on a positive performance against Wolverhampton Wanderers just before Christmas.

“We’ve got a good group that are focused on the longer-term development and improving so although its disappointing that the game was postponed, they know we can get back on the pitch and carry on our work.

“It’s not hard to motivate these lads, because they’re focused on their individual learning. But we need the game Saturday, and we want to get back to league action.”

Having already faced the Canaries earlier this term, the coach explained how they are using this experience to prepare for a tough test in Seagrave this weekend.

“We’ve played Norwich twice this year,” he continued. “Once in the league and once in the cup. Both games were tight affairs that resulted in a loss and a draw but this weekend will be an opportunity to make things right and build on a positive performance against Wolverhampton Wanderers just before Christmas.

“We’ve looked at the things we did well and not so well against Sheffield Wednesday, and we’re fully focused and prepared for the next challenge."
