Rodgers: Kristiansen & Evans Doubts For Brentford

Brendan Rodgers says the fitness of Victor Kristiansen and Jonny Evans will be assessed ahead of Leicester City's trip to Brentford on Saturday.

Kristiansen has missed City's last two Premier League matches - losses to Southampton and Chelsea. Although the Danish full-back is still a doubt for Brentford, it's hoped that his return to action will be soon in any case.

Leicester take on the Bees at Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday (3pm GMT kick-off).

"Victor maybe won’t make it," Rodgers told the media on Thursday. "We’re hoping he might be close but he might miss this one."

Club captain Jonny Evans, on the other hand, will also be assessed by the medical staff in Seagrave this week. 

Apart from that, everyone has trained and trained well and those who were available for previous games are okay.

"We'll have to see, there’s a doubt around him," the Foxes manager explained. "Hopefully [he'll be okay] for the weekend, if not, hopefully not too long after that. Apart from that, everyone has trained and trained well and those who were available for previous games are okay."

City will also be without another defender, Wout Faes, following his two-booking dismissal against Chelsea last weekend.

"It’s a player down, but we have to get on with it," Rodgers added.
